The following Irish universities accept QQI students with full awards into nursing programmes. They state a minimum of 5 distinctions to include:
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Introduction to Nursing
- Biology
In reality 8 distinctions is the level at which they have taken students in the past as they only reserve 10% of places for QQI applicants.

Nurse Training in the UK:
You may also wish to consider applying for nursing in the UK. Look up www.ucas.co.uk, and enter nursing in a course search. Choose a branch of nursing and then a university. Information on fees is ever changing at the moment & students will need to contact each college to enquire about this. Apply through the ucas website before January 15th 2018. The application form is quite detailed so leave plenty of time to fill it in and obtain the required reference from your course tutor. Spend time writing your personal statement which along with your results will determine if you are offered a place.
