You may also wish to consider applying for nursing in the UK. Look up www.ucas.com and enter nursing in a course search. Choose a branch of nursing and then a university. Information on fees and specific subject requirements is ever changing at the moment & students will need to contact each college to enquire about this.

*Please note that UK universities will expect a minimum of 5 distinctions to include Human Growth & Development, Anatomy & Physiology and Nursing Theory. Leaving Cert Maths and English at a minimum of O5 grade. A Merit or Distinction in Communications may be considered in lieu of Leaving Cert English.

You can apply for up to 5 courses through the ucas website before January 26 2023. The application form is quite detailed so leave plenty of time to fill it in and obtain the required reference from your course tutor. Spend time writing your personal statement which along with your results will determine if you are offered a place.

See UCAS document and video on how to apply in the career guidance folder on Moodle for more information.
