14878 - LEVEL 5 BUSINESS STUDIES AWARD (5M2102) ONE YEAR
This programme will prepare students to obtain employment in the Financial Services Industry or for progression to relevant programmes at third level through the Higher Education Links Scheme. Aaran completed the course in 2019 - 'this course with the help from tutors in the college, has enabled me to accept a place in DCU in an accounting and finance course level 8'. Jack also completed the course in 2019 and progressed to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business in NCI.

Progression / Employment
Students will acquire the skills necessary to take up employment in the general business and/or Financial Industry sectors. Many of our students who have completed this programme have gone on to work for some of the major banking and insurance companies. Students achieving a full award are eligible to apply to Third Level Colleges through the Higher Education Links Scheme. Students have progressed from this programme to Institute of Technology in Dublin, Blanchardstown, Tallaght, Dundalk and NCI. Links to third level from Business 5M2102
Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate, five passes including Ordinary Level Mathematics and English.
Applicants will be asked for one written reference, copy EU Passport or GNIB card or Irish Residence Permit or Labour Market Permission letter
For applicants whose first language is not English, evidence of English language proficiency may be required. If appropriate, Whitehall College of Further Education will conduct an English language assessment.
